Transfer Center Division of Enrollment Management University of Tennessee, Knoxville Associate Director, UT Access Collaborative - Transfer Center
The Office of the Transfer Center at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UTK) invites applications and nominations for our Associate Director, UT Access Collaborative position. We are seeking candidates who can contribute in meaningful ways to enhancing the accessibility of higher education, fostering a diverse and inclusive academic environment, improving the recruitment and graduation of our students. The Position: This is an on-campus position with some hybrid/remote work schedule flexibility.The position is responsible for leadership and oversight of all components of the UT Access Collaborative program. The Associate Director will create and ensure operational efficiencies and processes related to the program that center the student experience and successfully serve all UT undergraduate campuses. The position will foster and manage positive partnerships across the UT System and all campus communities, including close partnership with the UTK Division of Enrollment Management, communication & marketing teams, Student Success, advising communities as well as faculty, staff and student facing units. The position will be responsible for developing strategy, influencing decision making, assessing, and reporting on program effectiveness & outcomes, and implementing future program changes.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree-
Three (3) years of progressive, professional responsibility in higher education.Supervisory experience. Preferred Education and Experience: Master's Degree- Direct experience working in a Registrar's Office, Transfer Center, or Office of Undergraduate Admissions; experience working with pathway programs.Experience with Banner or another student information system.Experience with OnBase or another automated transfer credit evaluation solution.Experience creating and presenting training documentation.Experience compiling and analyzing transfer student data. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A strong record of administrative experience with proven leadership ability and desire to work collaboratively with diverse constituencies.Knowledge of higher education curricular policies, procedures, and processes.Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently and supervise those of direct reports.Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment that relies on this position's skills and recommendations.Ability to understand how discrete processes are interrelated.Ability to understand the broad impact and consequences of decisions.Ability to work with higher education software solutions and other computing needs.Ability to work with external vendors and communicate the university's needs.Demonstrated strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. The Division The Enrollment Management (EM) division comprises more than 190 full-time staff who serve our students through the following departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, International Recruitment, Transfer Center, One Stop Student Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Center for Financial Wellness, University Registrar, Pre-college Research Excellence Programs, EM Research & Analytics, EM Communications, and EM Operations.
