Job summary
Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking a Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Business Development and Revenue Generation.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Lead the strategic generation of new revenue streams and attracting, planning, and implementing external events in Brown Athletics spaces.• Oversee the day-to-day administration and operation of Brown Athletics ticket office and marketing staff.• Supervise and manage external events, including camps and clinics.• Actively represent Brown Athletics in outbound business development outreach initiatives.• Assist the Deputy AD/COO in daily management of the business relationship with the third-party rights holder.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree, required; Master's preferred.• 7-10 years' experience in athletic administration, preferably with expertise in revenue generation, events, and marketing/ticketing.• Demonstrated understanding of building systems and building service contracts.• Prior experience with revenue generation relationships and strategies.• Strong planning, management, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.• Demonstrated ability to utilize computer software and other requisite programs.• Experience supervising and managing others.• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.• Flexible with a high sense of accountability and responsibility.• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.• Willingness to work weekends or evenings if necessary.• Willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive campus community.• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.• Knowledge and understanding of NCAA, ECAC, Ivy, and University rules and regulations.• Successful completion of criminal background, education, and DMV checks.
