The Synod is looking for an Associate DEM to join the team.

The vision of the Synod is 'shalom at every level of life.' We pursue this vision by accompanying local congregations, leaders and communities as they live into this vision in their context. The Associate DEM is a new part-time staff role with the Southwestern Washington Synod of the ELCA that is responsible for supporting leaders authorized specifically by the Synod for new expressions of contextual ministry, including Mission Developers and Strategic Ministries.

The Associate DEM is part of the Synod's staff leadership team and is supervised by the DEM. As a staff member, the Associate DEM is accountable to the Bishop and the Synod Council. The DEM and Associate DEM have a specific relationship with the Churchwide Organization as they are convened and supported as a national DEM community by Christian Community and Leadership department of the ELCA.
