Associate Counsel

Under the direction of the Associate General Counsel, engage in the following:
• Legal and administrative matters management,
• Legal and administrative compliance, acquisitions/CHOWs and enterprise risk management for various entities managed by PACS Group,
• Engage in all forms of legal suits or pre-litigation risk mitigation to provide legal opinion, support company legal stratagem, and reduce insurance and overall costs by handling legal matters internally,
• Provide legal support for new acquisitions and post-closing items, including but not limited to legal diligence; document formation and revision; coordination with attorneys of sellers, landlords and lenders for document circulation and signature pages to finalize escrow.
• Coordinate with external counsel on current legal, administrative and compliance matters to ensure continual communication and transparency with each healthcare facility's designated personnel.
• Work with Risk Manager (and external Counsel) to come up with effective strategy to defend materialized matters and mitigate potential for further loss.
• Review complaints and/or summons & subpoenas and forward to risk management team for report to insurance carrier and engage outside counsel directly for those matters not covered by insurance,
• Conduct weekly or bi-weekly follow ups with outside counsel on case matters; maintaining legal case documents in the matter management and cloud legal case roster.
• Compliance and other high value project assistance,
• Conduct research on relevant law/statute, healthcare regulation, and keep up to date on relevant case law and occurrences relevant to the industry,
• Assist with corporate compliance, including but not limited to: yearly minutes for all entities, SOI, FBN, and other updates/renewals on varying yearly schedules, corporate resolutions and other corporate document cleanup
