As the Associate Buyer, you will be a key member of our Operations team. In this role, you will support our procurement, quality, and customer service activities by diligently executing TMC procurement tasks along with picking, packing, and shipping product to vendors and customers. You will be responsible for determining the best available options for component and product vendors and pricing, creating, and sending purchase orders, communicating with suppliers regarding status of deliveries and any potential delays, setting priorities with receiving team, and other support activities as needed.
What you will be responsible for: Exercise decision making for purchase of components and finished goods from approved suppliers to support company objectives. Evaluate and determine the best available vendors, quantities, and pricing to support the company's plan. Create and deliver purchase orders. Follow procedures and work instructions and give feedback for improvement. Effective communication with suppliers including requesting quotes along with status of orders and resolution of delays or discrepancies. Assists with scheduling component shipments to suppliers. Independently plan and organize with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Collaborate with all departments to prioritize procurement and receiving activities. Assists with creation and updating of supplier performance metrics and reporting. Build and maintain supplier relationships regarding delivery schedules, pricing, and capacity availability.
