Responsibilities
• Assist Lead Teacher in the implementation of activities and encourage participation by children.• Assist Lead Teacher in planning and implementing activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth of children.• Create a fun and safe learning environment.• Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.• Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.• Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to childcare center.• Follow all center policies and state regulations.• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
• Minimum state required classes needed or ability to obtain within first 6 months of employment.• Ability to work well with others.• A basic understanding of child development.• Ability to build relationships with children and families.• Positive, patient, and flexible.• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within first 3 months of employment.• Must clear full background check.• Must pass health screening and TB test.• Passionate about working with children.
