The Division of Pediatric Nephrology at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital at Michigan Medicine is recruiting for a full-time board eligible or certified pediatric nephrologist with a strong focus on translational/basic research for a tenure track position to join our diverse 12 faculty group.
Our Pediatric Dialysis program offers a robust CRRT program (approximately 500-600 days/year), plasma exchange, inpatient hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, in center hemodialysis, and home peritoneal dialysis. Average numbers are 10-15 in center hemodialysis and 10-15 home peritoneal dialysis patients. We are members of SCOPE and are involved in multiple projects. For a candidate with interest in administration there is an opportunity to transition into Medical Director of Pediatric Dialysis and Acute Therapies.

A successful candidate must possess the full range of pediatric nephrology clinical skills, including ICU nephrology, dialysis, and transplant experience. Advancement in the tenure track is contingent on significant contributions in translational and/or basic science, obtaining extramural funding, along with excellent clinical care/service.
A terminal research degree (MD PhD, MD, or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is necessary as well as a record of scholarly achievement and funding capabilities appropriate to the applicant's
professional experience. Exceptional organizational and communication skills for work in an interdisciplinary department are essential as well as the demonstrated potential for successfully engaging learners and collaborators.
This position is posted as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor. The rank of the selected candidate will depend on qualifications.
