Assistant Production Supervisor

DescriptionOur client is looking for an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor to support the Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and facilitate the operations of their packaging and distribution center. This is a great opportunity for someone that has the drive and desire to grow professionally within the company.
This position has opportunities for training and advancement. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient management of daily activities, from production to shipping, while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This is a Direct Hire position. Monday – Friday. 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Description
-Support Daily Operations - Assist the Production Supervisor in managing both first and second production shifts for smooth and efficient running operation.
-Ability to ensure efficient management of daily activities, from production to shipping, while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
-Equipment and Inventory Management – assist maintain packing equipment, coordinate repairs with manufacturers, and assist in managing supplies inventory.
-Quality and Safety Compliance - Support the enforcement of food safety and protocols and workplace safety guidelines. Participate in regular safety training and audits.
-Shipping/Receiving Assistance – Coordinate shipping/receiving processes to ensure timely delivery and dispatch of goods.
-Operational Backup – Step in for various operational roles as needed, including packing and machine operation, to cover for absenteeism or during peak periods.
-Reporting and Communication – Assist in reporting operational progress and challenges to the Production Supervisor and ensure transparent communication across the team.
-Maintain Workplace Standards – Assist to uphold the standards of behavior set by the company, fostering a respectful, fair, and team-oriented workplace environment.

Requirements-High School Diploma or Equivalent or Certification in Logistics or relevant field is a plus
-Proven experience in a similar role within a warehouse or production environment
-Familiarity with the products and operations of the company
-Strong Organizational and leadership skills
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to operate warehouse equipment with proficiency
-Understanding of inventory management software and standard warehousing practices
