Essential Functions: Manage the daily operations of the Learning Resource Center. Assist students in using library resources to conduct research. Assist the University Librarian with researching and implementing learning technologies in the Learning Resource Centers, including computer software and online library resources. Provide embedded information literacy instruction for academic departments. Work collaboratively with the college's faculty, staff, and students to improve the academic environment. Assist the University Librarian in maintaining and developing the electronic and print resources of the library's collection. Qualifications: Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS), Master of Library Science (MLS), or Master of Science in Library Science (MSLS) degree from an American Library Association-accredited program. One year of experience in a library environment. Experience providing reference and information services, both in-person and online. Experience with APA formatting and citation style. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience with the Microsoft Office suite and other computer technologies. Dedicated team player and collaborator with qualities of self-direction, vision, creativity, collegiality, and leadership. Desired Qualifications: Interest in/knowledge of nursing and allied health fields Three years of experience in a library or academic environment. Knowledge of current and emerging library technology systems. Experience providing library/information literacy instruction. Experience working with Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Proficient in operating electronic keyboards and other office machines. Effective verbal communication skills in answering telephones and providing information with clarity and distinctness. Ability to read fine print and operate computers with precision. Ability to understand voices over the telephone and in person. Able to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing between 10-25 pounds as needed.
