Summary: The AKM will work in tandem with our head kitchen manager, creating specials, and running the kitchen for daily service. The goal of the assistant kitchen manager is to take ownership of the kitchen by maintaining the pub's standards for food cost, presentation, portioning, and cleanliness, while constantly organizing, coaching and coordinating the day and night kitchen staffs. It is important that the AKM communicates often and effectively with all levels of the staff, from the GM to the new trainees. This position will consist of a mix of line cooking shifts & management shifts.
Professional Qualifications and Requirements: -2+ years kitchen experience
-Ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency
-Direct and sensitive communication style
-Willingness to step up and work through conflict for the mutual benefit of all involved
-Excellent organization skills
-Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
-Leadership and presence
