As the (Remote) Assistant Director of Pre-Award, you will play a pivotal role in advancing sponsored research initiatives at the WVU Cancer Institute (WVUCI). Collaborating closely with the WVUCI Director and leadership team, you'll spearhead strategic efforts to foster nationally recognized research programs, ensuring alignment with our long-term goals.

What You'll Do:
Lead and oversee proposal development activities, driving portfolio growth and sustainability.
Champion large-scale grant initiatives and strategic research projects, fostering collaboration among research groups.
Cultivate key relationships with faculty to identify and secure research funding opportunities.
Manage the National Cancer Institute Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) application process.
Provide crucial data, reporting, and insights on research productivity and grant-related outcomes.
Facilitate cross-departmental collaborations to expand research endeavors across the WVU system.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of two years of experience in proposal development/pre-award and research administration.
Proficiency in federal application systems and grants/contracts accounting.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or Certified Research Administrator designation.
