Responsibilities
• Determine nursing care needed and achieve nursing home objectives• Delegate authority during staff changes• Evaluate and improve nursing care• Complete reports for admissions, transfers, and discharges• Collaborate with consultants and implement recommended changes• Participate in development and updating of resident care plans• Coordinate in-service education programs• Review complaints and grievances• Promote effective working conditions and relationships• Assist with household needs• Supervise and manage employees• Remain on duty during CMS State regulator visits• Assist with CMS 2567 corrections and POC audits• Participate in ABAQIS program and interviews• Work on rotating on-call schedule• Perform other duties as directed
Requirements
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing• Current Tennessee license to practice as a Registered Nurse• Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills• Proficient interpersonal and communicative skills• Proficient computer skills including word and excel• Time management abilities• Minimum one-year prior experience in long-term care preferred
