Assistant Controller

We reduce the cost and complexity of acquiring, managing and charging electric vehicles for its customers, which include ride hailing, car rental, car sharing companies as well as Fortune 100 companies. 
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial reporting, managing the month-end close process, and ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). They will also be responsible for executing accounting for leases (ASC 842 and ASC 606) and working with NetSuite and Excel.
Key Responsibilities: Generate accurate and timely monthly financial reports as well as annual financial reports for internal and external presentation. Complete monthly financial close process within 5 days of month-end Evaluate new lease terms and ensure the initial recording and subsequent measurement is in accordance with ASC 842 Assist with documenting, maintaining, and ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected Oversee our sales and use tax calculations, invoicing, collection, reporting, and remittance Qualifications: CPA certification Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Related Field (Master's in such fields is a Plus)8+ years of accounting experience (Public or Private) Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), particularly Equipment Lease Accounting (operating and financing leases) and Revenue Recognition (ASC 842 and 606). You are meticulous, possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analytics abilities, and you have a track record of coming up with original solutions to cross- You have superior organizational, process management, and communication skills when it comes to working cross-functionally with the ability to influence internal stakeholders Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance
