Do you have experience leading an accounting team within a manufacturing environment?
In this position, you will supervise the day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable and receivable. You will be responsible for month-end/year-end closing, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, tax packages, cash management, fixed assets and assisting in the financial close process and statement preparation while serving as backup to the VP of Finance.
Responsibilities: Reconciling all company bank accounts daily Preparing Borrowing Base Certificates Posting cash receipts for all companies Setting up ACH payments with banks Recording journal entries for payroll for all companies Issue A/P payments via check and sign, ACH or wire to vendors and record in accounting system(s) Recording intercompany transactions as necessary Recording and adjusting accruals as necessary Working with vendors on payment schedules and plans Contacting bank(s) of any daily discrepancies Analyzing Inventory Transactions and Variances Assisting with monthly inventory and compilation Reconciling inventories and booking to physical at month end Reviewing and auditing revenue and expense accounts Verifying balance sheet balances with appropriate schedules Preparing supplemental schedules for F/S package Compiling consolidated financial statements Processing 1099 forms annually Managing and maintaining IRA account
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field Ability to observe high levels of confidentiality Proven experience as assistant controller or other similar position Strong knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.) Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and accounting software Well-organized with the ability to prioritize Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience
