We are seeking a dedicated and resourceful Assistant Construction Project Manager to support our construction projects. The Assistant Construction Project Manager will work closely with the VP of Construction and construction team to ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects within specified timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning and coordination of construction projects from start to finish. Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate project activities, resources, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones. Monitor construction progress and quality to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards. Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors as needed for project execution. Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and construction drawings. Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress, identify issues, and ensure compliance with project requirements. Assist in managing project budgets, expenses, and cost controls to maximize profitability. Communicate project status updates, issues, and changes to stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project team members. Assist in resolving construction-related issues, conflicts, and disputes in a timely and effective manner. Support the Project Manager in maintaining positive client relationships and managing client expectations. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, building codes, and safety regulations throughout the construction process. Assist in the preparation of project closeout documentation, including punch lists, warranties, and record drawings. Provide administrative support to the Project Manager, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining project files. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field preferred. Previous experience in construction project management or related role required. Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials. Proficiency in construction management software, such as BlueBeam, PlanGrid, OST and Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and safety standards.. OSHA certification or other relevant certifications/licenses preferred. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
