The Department of IndustrialEngineering (IE) at New Mexico State University (NMSU) is searching for an outstanding applicant to fill (1) tenure-track faculty positionat the Assistant/Associate Professor rank for Fall 2024. Preference will be placed on applicants with research expertise aligns with ourdepartment's strategic areas, including: 1) operations research and analytics; 2) systems and engineering management; and 3) advancedmanufacturing. The candidates need to show potential to aggressively leverage opportunities at the state and federal levels, to develop andgrow an impactful and sustainable research program, and to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses, both in-person and online. Thecandidates should demonstrate a plan for successful collaborations with other faculty that fosters cross-disciplinary research. The expectedrank is assistant professor; however, applicants with outstanding credentials may be considered at the rank of associateprofessor.
NMSU is a land- and space-grant institution with a student population that exceeds 15,000. Required Education, Experience, Certification/License,Equivalency Ph.D. in industrial engineering, engineering management or a closely-related field. While not mandatory, an undergraduate degree in engineering is preferred; Experience teaching online courses is a plus.
