Assistant/Associate Professor In Accounting

Summary:
The Department of Accounting and Finance at Alabama A&M University invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor position in the field of accounting. The rank and tenure-status of the position is negotiable based on qualifications.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Teach principles and advanced level courses in Accounting at the undergraduate and graduate levels as needed.
* Produce scholarly research leading to publications in refereed journals.
* Advise students and engage in professional activities in the college.
* Serve on various committees in the department, college and university levels.
* Assist in the development and implementation of the College's instructional and institutional goals.
* Display excellence in teaching, intellectual contributions, effective advising, and service in the department, college and university levels.
* Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.):
* A Ph.D. in Accounting. ABD will be considered.
* College or university level teaching experience.
* Candidates with a Ph.D. in a related field should have completed at least 18 semester credit hours of graduate level accounting courses.
* Demonstration of scholarly contribution through refereed journal publications and other intellectual contributions.
* Demonstration of excellence in oral and written communication skills.
