Responsibilities
• Supervising the scheduling coordinator and approximately 40 student dentists• Assuming responsibility for all patients assigned to the team• Developing the management skills of students on the team• Participating in clinical case presentation seminars for the students• Providing clinical teaching and supervising continuity of patient care• Assigning patients to students in a manner consistent with patient needs and student ability• Supervising treatment of patients with complex needs• Serving as a liaison between divisions• Assuming responsibility for preadmission examination for adult patients• Participating in scholarly activities associated with clinical care• Functioning as a full-time member of the Department of Oral Health Practice• Serving as a course director for practice management courses• Evaluating competency assessments• Conducting mentoring sessions with 3rd & 4th year students• Conducting Quality Assurance initiatives
Requirements
• D.M.D or D.D.S. degree• Minimum of two years' experience in general dentistry• Eligible for licensure in the state of Kentucky
