Assistant Accounting Manager

Position Overview: The Assistant Accounting Manager is responsible for providing direction and guidance to employees to ensure financial results are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position will also perform financial analysis, financial reporting, and other duties as assigned.
Location: Paris, TN
Salary: $75,000 - 85,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities: Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports in an accurate and timely manner. Ensure compliance with GAAP and any relevant external regulations. Manage the day-to-day accounting activities and processes. Prepare and analyze annual, monthly, and weekly financial statements. Identify potential issues and develop strategies to prevent them. Manage accounts receivable and payable processes. Manage customer accounts and ensure timely payments. Prepare and submit tax returns. Maintain and monitor internal controls. Provide assistance and guidance to accounting staff. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in accounting or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred. Minimum of 53years of accounting experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience with SAP and Excel. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and with a team.
