Job Overview Assistant Academic Directors (AADs) - in temporary roles - are resources for high school students, Mentors, and the Academic Director (AD). AADs can change gears quickly and troubleshoot problems independently to implement and oversee the day-to-day logistics of their programs.
The role requires an academic professional who is reliable, responsible, flexible, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. As well, they must have the ability to train and supervise a team of Mentors throughout the summer.
In an academic support role, the AAD has responsibilities mainly in the areas of
Program Development Program Implementation Student Affairs Training and Supervision Other Duties as Assigned Work Interactions
This is an academic support position in which Assistant Academic Directors are responsible for supervising a cohort of high school students.

Requirements and Qualifications Current or graduating undergraduate or graduate student or recently graduated Supervisory and/or leadership experience Proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite, and Zoom Preferred Qualifications Current or graduating GU student Experience working in an educational setting Experience working with faculty Experience working with high school students Institutional knowledge of Georgetown University Knowledge or experience relating to the Academy subject matter Current Georgetown Employees:
