The Operations Manager role is a leadership position within our Asset Management Services (AMS) team for a qualified engineering professional to be based in our Overland Park, Kansas or Ann Arbor, Michigan offices. This role leads staff forecasting and hiring needs, as well resource allocation across numerous projects. The Operations Manager coordinates with various stakeholders, and has group execution responsibility. Will also have some high value project management responsibility for strategic clients/projects.
Key Responsibilities This position helps lead services such as remote monitoring and diagnostics, operating and maintenance, and program management for industrial owners. The growing mix of power generating facilities and industrial applications are diverse; coal, gas, wind, solar, battery energy storage, water treatment, pulp and paper, ammonia, and urea production. The analytical tools leveraged include neural net pattern recognition applications, issue management databases, work order management systems, and custom performance and reliability calculations. These tools enable engineers of various backgrounds to capture, integrate, and analyze real-time operational data.

Preferred Qualifications Positive, team-first attitude. 10+ years of related engineering experience in the infrastructure or industrial sectors. Previous managerial related experience. Relevant work experience in the areas of thermal cycles, renewable energy, operations and maintenance, and data analytics. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of basic engineering principles with a proactive interest in continued learning. Ability to learn on the fly and use engineering judgment to solve complex problems. PE preferred.
Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
