The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting mammographic examinations to aid in the detection and diagnosis of breast cancer and other breast abnormalities. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients.Shift Details: 32 hours / week Day Shift Mammography Technician Job Responsibilities: Perform mammography screenings and diagnostic procedures according to established protocols and physician orders. Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Position patients and adjust imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images of the breast tissue. Analyze images for clarity and accuracy, identifying any abnormalities or areas of concern. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to interpret imaging results and develop appropriate treatment plans. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks to patients and staff. Participate in quality assurance activities and ongoing education to stay current on advancements in mammography technology and techniques. Qualifications for a Mammographer: Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or a related field. ARRT(R) certification required. ARRT certification in Mammography required within 18 months of employment. IEMA Certification required. Strong understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
