MKEC is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Architectural Engineering group located in our Wichita, KS office. Engineering projects may include schools, churches, hospitals, hotels, office buildings, and other commercial or industrial projects.
Responsibilities: Production of coordinated detail design drawings, electronic models, specifications, written reports, site observation reports, etc. Organize technical and financial proposals for new projects. Manage workload of engineers and technicians. Able to work on multiple projects including power distribution, lighting design, grounding systems, fire alarm systems, and utility coordination. Ensure adherence to industry standards and building codes. Requirements: 5+ years of relevant experience. PE license. Demonstrated experience with electrical design projects including coordination with other engineering disciplines. Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple project tasks. Excellent presentation and written communication skills, time management, and organizational skills are required. Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, be self-directed, exhibit good business judgment and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Experienced in AutoCAD MEP. AUTODESK Revit is highly preferred. Design experience with Electrical systems for buildings is highly preferred. Proficient user of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Compliance with MKEC and client drug/alcohol and safety programs.
