Job Summary We are looking for individual to join our cl ient's team as Architectural Designer. This role is responsible for supporting the design, documentation, and construction for building projects inside company's production facilities. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with Structural, Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing Engineers and Designers to aid in the development and assembly of contract packages in accordance with project schedules. They will be expected to quickly learn and effectively apply company design tools, work processes, standards, and best practices.
Job Description Perform schematic design and design development for buildings projects with the oversight of a Project Lead.
Assist in building assessments and field evaluations. Apply company practices, local codes, and industry standards to design tasks. Facilitate the creation of 3D models and construction documents both firsthand and as a part of a production team. Oversee 3D modelling and drafting activities performed by high-value engineering centers. Clearly identify all required deliverables to be produced for milestone reviews and package issues. Coordinate with internal Buildings Team disciplines (Structural, Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing) and other external process engineering disciplines during design and package creation. Assemble packages for both internal and external milestone reviews and package issues. Perform construction administration tasks under the guidance of a Project Lead. Be accountable for quality and timely execution of assigned scopes of work. Attend team meetings, provide project updates, and be the focal point for communications related to 3D modelling and drawing packages. Manage and report changes to the project team. Skills Required Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people and cultures. Working knowledge of Architectural standards, codes, practices, details, and assemblies. Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently. Ability to plan and organize work effectively to maintain project schedules. Self-starter with strong initiative, leadership, and organization skills.  Strong written and verbal communication skills. Available to travel to sites for field verification and building assessments. Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with Photoshop and SketchUp graphic software preferred, but not required. Education/Training/Certifications Minimum Bachelor of Architecture.
Minimum 5 years' experience in Architectural Design and Construction Registered Architect or actively pursuing professional registration. Pay Rate/Salary Starting at $50.00/hr. and more depending on experience We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
