Compensation Overview The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

1 What Is the Opportunity?
As a Business Rules Architect, you will lead the effort to create the next generation of business rules and process architecture. You'll be joining a team focused on collaboration, sharing information, continually challenging the status quo, and arriving at decisions through constructive debates and discussions. Reporting directly to a member of the Enterprise Technology Solutions leadership team, you will interface with senior technology leaders to transform our current business and technology capabilities. Your role involves creating the technology target state for the Enterprise Payment and Billing Unit of a global Dow 30 company, paving the way for best-in-class solutions. What Will You Do? Architecture responsibility for creating business rules strategy and solutions for modern Payment and Billing platforms. Collaborate with business partners and product owner to understand business requirements and goals and assist with business rules harvesting and decision modeling. Monitor and evaluate decision outcomes and partner with product owners to optimize existing business rules to ensure alignment with established business goal and objectives. Lead the design and implementation of business rules, ensuring seamless integration with business processes and systems. Ensure the alignment of the decision models and business rules within end-to-end processes. Establish and implement comprehensive frameworks and industry-leading practices for modeling, documenting, and analyzing business rules and processes. Displays strong thought leadership in pursuit of modern architecture principals and technology modernization. Drives continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt. Evaluate existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for implementing business rules to support Travelers Payment and Billing ecosystem. Ensure alignment of business processes with technical capabilities and target state roadmap Builds strong partnership with engineering to ensure proper alignment of skills with technology direction.  Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to develop a unified approach to business rules and process implementations. Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? Bachelor's degree in technology related field or equivalent with 4+ years of technology Engineering experience Organizational experience in an agile operating model Established work in proof of concepts and technology Strong proven Software Engineering experience Supports technology target state, roadmaps that aligned to Short- and Long-term business goals Insurance technology experience desired Executed large scale Business Rules implementation Current experience with leading commercial Business Rules Engine Strong grasp of value creation and business capability models Innovation and Continuous Improvement Must be passionate about technology transformations Has hands on experience in the last 3 years Executed technology modernization initiatives including migration to cloud native and API Strategy Current experience with AWS, APIs, accelerators, DevSecOps Cloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on Cloud Good understanding of security Experienced with large scale technology platforms What is a Must Have? Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in work experience. Five years of experience in engineering software or analytic applications within a line of business area What Is in It for You?
