Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic Appointment Scheduler to join our team! This position is primarily responsible for answering incoming calls, tracking patient referrals, customer service and scheduling appointments for patients.
Primary Responsibilities Answers all incoming calls to organization efficiently. Set standard for first impression and the level of service provided by CENT&A. Is responsible for the accurate scheduling of physician appointments. Follows scheduling guidelines for each physician as outlined by Administration. Completes all new patient data entry requirements. Informs and instructs patients on set-up and use of patient portal. Informs patients of company website and all patient documents therein. Instructs patient to bring test results that may have been ordered by other physicians that relate to the current visit. Reviews appointment reminder reports in the morning and implements patient requests such as cancellations and rescheduling requests. Demonstrate team effort with all personnel by performing the tasks requested timely and with enthusiasm. Complies with all regulatory requirements such as OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance and other requirements that may be mandated. Projects positive image of company always. Requirements High School diploma or GED, One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in medical office preferred. Experience with multi-line telephone operating system preferred. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Ability to commit to established work schedule and being punctual. Strong professional, interpersonal and relationship building skills. Strong problem solving and time management skills. Strong oral and written skills. Demonstrated ability to be adaptable and dependable. Work Environment This position will be performed on site in a medical office setting.
