Responsibilities
• Design and release handles, locks, and mechanisms for vehicle closure systems• Drive design improvements to increase quality and optimize cost/weight• Ensure compliance with requirements and manage attributes• Manage manufacturing assembly requirements• Utilize statistical analysis and problem-solving skills
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or related field• 3+ years of experience in mechanisms design & release• Strong understanding of statistical analysis• Ability to work in a fluid environment• Microsoft Office experience• Effective oral and written communication skills• Experience with 8D and 5Why corrective action• CATIA V5 and familiarity with ADAMs• Detailed understanding of materials, manufacturing technologies, and GD&T
