Role Overview:
As an Applications Developer at our Company, you'll be responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements, developing custom applications, and providing ongoing support to our enterprise services. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders, leading the design and implementation of enterprise application solutions, and ensuring the security, performance, and scalability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of enterprise application solutions.
Design and architect solutions for multiple systems, focusing on security, performance, and scalability.
Establish integration standards and design integrations for multiple systems.
Maintain software engineering best practices and standards.
Serve as a consultant for new technological advances.
Collaborate with end users and service managers to identify and analyze requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher, plus eight years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in software programming using high-level languages such as Java, Groovy, VB, or C/C++.
Experience with SQL databases and application development.
Familiarity with issue tracking, version control, and continuous integration tools.
Strong testing, debugging, and refactoring skills.
Ability to gather requirements and design solutions in collaboration with users and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
.NET development skills.
Familiarity with financial and HR systems.
Experience with Atlassian applications: Jira Service Management, Jira Software, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo, etc.
CompTIA Security+ certification.
Active secret security clearance.
Working Conditions:
Fully-remote, hybrid on-site/work from home, or fully on-site options available.
On-site location: State College, PA.
