Application Support EngineerFixed Income & Risk Technology is responsible for building, managing and maintaining systems for Front to Back trade processing for the Fixed Income business as well as Risk Management for all asset classes and products, ranging from individual trader's risks, to risk management across the entire firm.We are assembling a strong technology team to build and support our next generation in-house risk and analytics tools. This team will provide L2/L3 support and have full ownership of the production environment for several key business lines (risk, analytics, trading, portfolio visualization, and market data).Principal ResponsibilitiesManage contact for application issues, support requests, and incidentsMonitor and automate application and infrastructure alerts and be able to react quickly by using Python and Shell ScriptingEnsure system stability and uptime for all tools and application under this team's management. This includes application and infrastructure/cloud monitoring, troubleshooting and user supportIdentify and develop areas of improvement and be able to accurately assess business risk to help prioritize remediationSetup, manage, and support data file downloads and processingAdminister outstanding issues are handed off to other regions and necessary follow-upsQualifications/SkillsRequiredExperience supporting front office trading applications are essential, candidates must have worked within a global financial services organization, ideally within Fixed Income or Commodities5+ years professional experience in Python, Shell, and SQLDevelopment in SQL skills and knowledge of various database systems within Linux, Unix, and/or Windows environmentsKnowledge around DevOps tools, ideally Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka, Maven, and AWSSelf-starter with ability to quickly pick up new concepts and technologies (Public Cloud, Serverless architecture, etc.)Previous experience with monitoring tools (DataDog, OpsGenie, and ServiceNow)
