The Critical Care APP functions within the adult ICU areas and is an integral member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.The APP manages critically ill adults and serves as a resource for intensive care interventions.The APP also plays a role in the admissions process, including ICU triage.

Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day patient care from ICU to step down to discharge.• May have responsibilities for the same patient population in the outpatient setting.• Demonstrate advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge.• Ensure an environment of safe quality care.• Timely and compliant documentation.• Ongoing professional development and competency validation.
Requirements
• MSN for Nurse Practitioners or BS for Physician Assistants.• 1 year of related experience.• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C).
