Ap Specialist - Contract

Responsible for various aspects of the Accounts Payables process including entering, analyzing, and reconciling information within accounts. Will work as part of a team to executive on Accounts Payable deliverables within the broader Accounting and Finance organization(s).
All aspects of Accounts Payable including but not limited to:
Enters payables
Enter invoices using correct accounting code to the general ledger
Analyze uploaded invoices to ensure proper accounting coding is accurate to the general ledger
Verify proper approval is obtained for payment
May initiates wires on a weekly basis
Maintains, analyzes, and reconciles accounts payables ledger accounts
Helps Sr. AP Specialist prepare backup for payment batches
Pull payables information backup as requested
Process 1099's
Respond to customer/vendor requests
Other responsibilities as directed or at the discretion of the Accounts Payable Manager
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business is preferred, but not required
Minimum 2-4 years of previous accounting and/or financial experience
Strong multi-tasking, communication, and organizational skills
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
Comfort with working with multiple currencies and exchange rates
Prefer experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) application
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Flexibility to work additional hours that may include hours outside of traditional working hours
