About The Role

The Client Platform team designs, creates, releases, and maintains a series of modules utilized by teams across CVS to quickly and easily build, test and deliver quality app experiences into the hands of our customers.
We're looking for an Android engineer passionate about building quality apps and processes that reduce toil, improve user experiences, reduce cognitive load, and enable delivery of advanced health technology features to customers.
What We Expect of You
You should have a deep understanding of the Android platform and its ecosystem, including the Android SDK, Kotlin programming language, and popular Android development tools like Android Studio. You'll develop scalable engineering solutions for cross-team concerns like networking, build tooling, performance, observability, analytics, CI/CD and other architectural challenges. You have experience with A/B Testing, personalization, and analytics. You'll advocate for best practices for building performant, scalable, and reliable applications. You should have a good understanding of mobile security best practices and be able to implement them in your software designs. You should be familiar with agile development methodologies and be able to work effectively in an agile team environment. You should have experience with automated testing and debugging tools to ensure high-quality software releases. You should be comfortable working collaboratively with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to build a successful mobile platform. You should be comfortable sharing what you've built and learned with the broader engineering organization. Required Qualifications
4+ years experience developing Android Mobile applications. 3+ years modern Android development frameworks such as Jetpack Compose and Kotlin. Preferred Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of Gradle build system and writing custom Gradle tasks. Advanced knowledge of security practices. Experience building stand-alone Android libraries. Experience with Kotlin coroutines and flows. Experience with secure and efficient data caching techniques. Knowledge of architecture patterns with Jetpack Compose. Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is:
$64,890.00 - $154,500.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
