Job summary
The Client Agency Fiscal Analyst plays a critical role in the support of the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) operational program, Shared Financial Services.You will provide fiscal guidance to multiple small to mid-sized Client Agencies, in accordance with State and Federal regulations.This essential work includes collaborating with agency directors and agency operational staff to assure proper functionality and accountability of fiscal operations.

Responsibilities
• Provide fiscal guidance to multiple small to mid-sized Client Agencies• Collaborate with agency directors and agency operational staff• Assure proper functionality and accountability of fiscal operations• Prepare, analyze, and administer budgets• Model, forecast, and analyze fiscal information• Maintain knowledge of governmental budgeting and accounting functions• Maintain multiple customers• Understand federal regulations for federal compliance• Use a variety of software applications• Conduct analysis, identify problems, and identify areas of improvement
Requirements
• Five years of progressively responsible experience that included the preparation, analysis, and administration of a budget or fiscal system, or five years of professional-level experience in accounting, fiscal auditing, management, or program analysis• Experience must have included modeling, forecasting, and analyzing fiscal information• Successful completion of the Department of Administrative Services Budget and Management Public Administrative Trainee Program• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public or Non-Profit Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related degree may substitute for three years of experience• Graduate-level degree in related areas may substitute for four of the five years• Knowledge of governmental budgeting and accounting functions• Ability to use a variety of software applications• Knowledge and understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)• Experience in ORBITS/PICS or similar budgeting system
