COMPUTER Analyst 3
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE:
The Computer Analyst manages workstations, printers and other devices including 250 + administrative users, email workstations, and 100 + stations in student computer labs, 11 smart classrooms, coordinates network security, user training and related documentation, coordinates development and maintenance of custom applications, supervises 21 student workers, provides user support to administrative staff and all 5200 + RESNET clients, and assists in expanding and coordinating student access to technology resources. Provides technical support to the Division of Student Life and Enrollment

RESPONSIBILITIES:
40% - Manage computer systems. Assemble hardware, stage, install software, make repairs and perform updates on computer related resources and licenses as directed by the department, college and campus. Keep security and software up to date. Operate and maintain servers according to the department's needs and campus requirements. Maintain printers, NAS (network attached storage) servers, displays, network cameras, audio visual computers, projectors, cameras, TVs, etc as needed.
30% - Project lead over installation and maintenance of new hardware and software, along with providing advanced technical support for workstations and classrooms. Serve as the onsite technical consultant to the department through troubleshooting a wide variety of systems and providing advanced technological support to staff and faculty. Manage and maintain Computer related resources and licenses for the department's staff, faculty, Residential Halls and Classrooms.
20% - provides technology support services for the Department of Residential Life (350+ computers). Manage hiring and training process of student workers.
5%- Uphold campus policies and procedures and integrate campus wide best practices into the department. Attends LSU Information Technology Services meetings, workshops and training sessions and communicates campus policy and migration updates to the department. Determine what hardware and software will and will no longer be supported and make changes as necessary.
5% - Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Computer Analyst 3
Bachelor's Degree
3 years related experience. (Student work or internships will be considered as half credit towards work experience) Familiarity with networking hardware and software installation and repair. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems for installation and repair. Documenting tickets and knowledge base articles. License/Certification:
Have a valid, Class E Louisiana driver's license
Desired License/Certification:
A+, Network+
