Responsibilities
• Assisting in patient care coordination, including scheduling appointments and tests• Handling patient registration responsibilities and accurately documenting information• Creating and preparing outgoing referrals• Providing patients with facility fee disclosure and education• Preparing after visit summaries and informing patients of upcoming appointments• Providing information to patients, family members, and referral sources regarding policies and procedures• Multitasking within a fast-paced environment• Assisting with office supply tracking and ordering• Handling phone calls pertaining to patient care coordination• Participating in surveys and performing routine clerical duties
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)• Experience within a healthcare setting preferred• Knowledge of various insurance coverage• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills• PC literacy and ability to enter/retrieve information online• Ability to establish and maintain courteous relationships• Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills• Ability to work independently and respond effectively under stress• Observance of relevant policies and procedures• Knowledge and skills in providing appropriate care and assessing patient needs• Knowledge of patient safety measures
