Aluminum Welder

As a Welder , you'll be responsible for designing, fabricating, joining, and repairing aluminum components.
Job Qualifications Expertise of welding techniques (oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, MIG, TIG, controlled atmosphere, and plasma cutting), tools and equipment High school diploma or equivalent and certification in welding, preferred 6+ years of experience in welding Fabricating aluminum components Structural and pressure welding, as required Layout, cut, fit, grind, assemble, and tack Use a hand grinder to smooth weld and adjacent surfaces. Judgment is required to select proper tips for welding or cutting and in selection of welding rods Use complicated blueprints applying welding symbols and welding grooves specified Conform to all safety procedures and policies Desire to have fun at work! Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in welding Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Proven trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of materials, methods, practices and tools used in electronic and manufacturing maintenance including reading blueprints and schematics. Knowledge of safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and safety precautions. Knowledge of welding techniques (oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, MIG, TIG, controlled atmosphere, and plasma cutting), tools and equipment. Knowledge of non-destructive inspection techniques. Skill in the fabrication, joining and repair of a variety of metal objects, equipment, fixtures and structures. Skill in heat treating and thermo spraying.
