Allied Health Adjunct InstructorDescription/Job Summary The Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) is looking for a qualified and passionate individual to join their team as an Allied Health Adjunct Instructor. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in healthcare disciplines and preferably some teaching experience at the college level. Key responsibilities will involve teaching and evaluating students in relevant courses (Medical Terminology, Pathophysiology, and Pharmacology), as well as maintaining communication with department staff, students, and fellow faculty members.
Responsibilities/Duties Provide instruction in Medical Terminology, Human Disease, and/or Pharmacology. Based on the master syllabus, design and teach assigned class session(s), leveraging digital content and multi-media resources in the classroom. Assess student engagement/understanding during each class session and throughout the semester. Collect, grade, and report assignments and homework. Maintain and update the syllabus and course materials and make sure they are available through the College's Learning Management System. Advise learners in ways to help them meet their educational goals. Use a variety of strategies to assess and evaluate learning. Provide timely, thoughtful, and constructive feedback to learners. Required Qualifications At least Bachelor's Degree obtained from an accredited health discipline program. Current licensure in current health field if applicable. Five years full time work in a healthcare setting. Must have 2-4 years teaching experience in Allied Health courses. Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Preferred Qualifications Master or doctorate degree (MD, Pharm D).
