Job summary
Our client is hiring an A&P Mechanic in Milwaukee, WI.The position involves maintenance, modification, and servicing of aircraft and components.Requires up to three to five years or more experience.
Job seniority: associate level
Responsibilities
• Perform routine scheduled maintenance and aircraft inspection.• Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications.• Modify aircraft systems or components according to drawings and technical publications.• Assemble and install electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components.• Provide emergency repairs and minimize aircraft downtime.• Review maintenance records and flight logs.• Process necessary documentation and paperwork.• Follow all cleanliness, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Requirements
• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.• Preferred Education: 1-2 years of technical college/training or equivalent.• Certifications/Licenses: FAA Airframe and Powerplant.• Minimum Experience: Up to 3-5 years or more experience.• Preferred Experience: Up to 6 years or more experience.• Skills: Interpret drawings, problem-solving, good communication, exercise good judgment.• Machine Skills: Operate hand and power tools, calculator, PC, telephone, and fax machine.• Environmental Conditions: Exposure to weather, work may be performed outdoors.• Physical Demands: Ability to climb ladders, sit-stand, crouch bend for extended periods.• Physical Strength: Vision Requirements: Accommodation.• Communication: Communicate effectively with others in the work environment and external customers.• Representation: Represent the company in a professional and positive manner.• Contacts: Exchange information with employees and external customers.
Key Skills Needed
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and schematics of aircraft parts/components.• Problem-solving and independent decision-making skills.• Good communication skills.• Exercise good judgment in working with people and in aircraft maintenance and safety.
