Responsibilities
• Performs maintenance, servicing, cleaning, and record keeping for all nonpowered AGE equipment• Inventories, controls, stores, and maintains DD Form 780 and alternate mission equipment for assigned aircraft• Performs intermediate and organizational level maintenance on aircraft dual rail and aerial delivery systems• Assists aircraft mechanics in flightline/inspection maintenance activities• Complies with safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulations• Prepares for and participates in readiness evaluations• May be required to perform additional duties such as structural fire fighting, security guard, etc.• Performs inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on aircraft• Troubleshoots and performs unscheduled maintenance on aircraft• Performs major adjustments and alignments of aircraft systems or components• Performs operator maintenance on aircraft installed auxiliary power units• Tows, taxies, parks, and moors assigned and transient aircraft
Requirements
• Must have at least 12 months of experience using common hand tools for mechanical repairs• Must have 18 months of experience installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting, and functionally testing aircraft systems• Must have the ability to instruct lower graded mechanics in disassembly and re-assembly of aircraft components• Must meet military skill set requirements• Length of time is not qualifying, experience must demonstrate ability to perform duties
