Aircraft Chief Inspector

The Chief Inspector is responsible for setting the standards for the repair station and has the overall operation control for quality assurance and is the final authority for the release to service (airworthiness) for the fleet. The Chief Inspector maintains the repair station and training manuals, is the FAA – IBM liaison for the repair station, maintaining all the required aircraft documentation, calibrated tools, technical data in a current standard and format that is acceptable to the administrator. The Chief Inspector coordinates with the Crew Chiefs, Dispatchers, Lead Technician, and maintenance manager for inspection packages vs flight schedule integration. The chief inspector ensures compliance with all CFRs, manufacturer's specifications, and recommendations. Responsible for the stockroom including all materials.The Chief Inspector could work different shifts (morning, days, afternoons, and nights) on both weekdays and weekends plus holidays. Some traveling is required and must have a valid passport or be eligible to obtain one.
