At Seneca, we produce seeds, harvest crops, manufacture our own containers and provide a wide range of nutritious fruit and vegetable products.AG MECHANICThe Agriculture Mechanic will monitor product flow during harvesting to ensure uninterrupted flow to the plants and relieve Harvester Operators when necessary.Essential Job Functions:Responsible for daily repair & maintenance of agriculture and related equipment.Responsible for maintaining an even and sufficient flow of raw product from the assigned field that meets or exceeds company standards during harvest season.Work in conjunction with Area Supervisors to maintain harvesting flow and quality.Ensure that safety rules and regulations are followed and enforced.Maintain cost controls over equipment for budget purposes.Strong mechanical and trouble shooting skills.Three (3) to Five (5) years of mechanical experience preferred.Repair and maintenance of peas and corn harvest equipment and related equipmentMaintain cost control over equipment for budget purposesMaintenance in other areas of the facility when neededResponsible for maintaining an even, constant and sufficient flow of product of a quality that meets or exceeds company standards during harvest seasonEmployee relationsEnsure that GMP's (General manufacturing Practices), safety rules and regulations are being followed and enforcedWork in conjunction with Area Supervisors to maintain production and qualityOther duties as assignedQualifications:Two-year college degree and/ or equivalent mechanical/ repair experience preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood Mechanical repair and trouble shooting skillsWillingness and ability to work in a team environmentStrong communication skills Benefits of working as a Agriculture Mechanic in Central, LA:
