Title: Agent – Charity Fraud Enforcement
Salary Range: $68,000 - $90,000 and commensurate with experience and qualifications
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
The Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General is currently seeking a full-time Agent for our Charity Fraud Enforcement unit.
Job Summary: The OAG's Charity Enforcement Division (CED) is responsible for protecting donors, charitable beneficiaries, and charitable organizations. This responsibility is achieved through the enforcement of the Solicitation of Charitable Contributions Act, the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act, and other state laws. The CED also collaborates with other states to target issues of regional or national concern. Additionally, the CED offers outreach to educate donors and charitable organizations.
Agent Job Description: Serving as the primary investigator on all charity enforcement matters, including civil and criminal cases Communicating and collaborating with the Supervisory Agent and the charity enforcement attorneys on case investigations Developing and maintaining relationships with other law enforcement agencies to provide information about the work of the charity enforcement division and offering collaboration when appropriate Interviewing charity board members, officers, and employees, as well as donors, charitable beneficiaries, professional fundraisers, and other witnesses Conducting research on publicly available data for charitable organizations Drafting search warrants, subpoenas, investigative reports, and testifying in court Collecting, evaluating, analyzing, developing, and preparing evidence Examining public charity and private foundation tax returns, financial records, ledgers, and legal documents Executing search and arrest warrants Providing charity-related educational outreach Occasional travel Other duties assigned Qualifications: · Must be a CLEET certified peace officer in Oklahoma or be eligible for reciprocity under the rules and guidelines of the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET)
· Possess a valid Oklahoma driver's license
Preference will be given to candidates with: · A bachelor's degree
· Prior law enforcement experience
· Experience with complex criminal investigations
· At least four (4) years of investigative experience
· Accounting, finance, or financial investigative experience
