Ag Equipment Service ManagerThe company operates as a comprehensive equipment dealership with several branches catering to the needs of agricultural and rural communities. Currently, the company is seeking a dynamic and well-organized individual to occupy the full-time position of Service Manager.Job Function:The role involves overseeing the Service Department and Technicians, guaranteeing top-notch maintenance and repairs for customer equipment either on-site or in the workshop. Responsibilities may encompass, but are not restricted to, the following:Main Responsibilities:Coordinate Technicians to meet service productivity objectives through job scheduling, ensuring excellent customer service.Provide clear instructions and expectations to Technicians on the shop floor for assigned tasks.Manage staff recruitment, hiring, terminations, and performance evaluations.Handle internal and external customer service inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining close communication throughout the service/repair process.Maintain clear communication with customers, staff, and other department heads.Organize pickups, deliveries, and repair schedules for customer and internal equipment, as well as schedule service calls for Road Technicians.Prepare customer repair quotes, create work orders, and ensure organized and timely invoicing.Develop, communicate, enforce, and monitor effective service department processes to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Implement a consistent follow-up process for all invoices over $3,500.00.Oversee machinery inspections of completed technician work.Schedule and coordinate technical service training and product training sessions.Manage dealership warranty programs.Process warranty and product improvement claims in an organized, detailed, and timely manner. Prepare accurate service reports for warranty submissions.Stay updated on Manufacturer Service Bulletins related to our product lines.Identify opportunities to expand business with existing customers and establish relationships with new customers.Maintain and organize service department records and perform month-end procedures.Conduct departmental budget reviews and contribute to generating shop revenue.Open warranty work orders when necessary, including after hours.Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Qualifications:Preferably hold a two-year Ag Diesel Technical Degree or Diploma.Preferably have at least 4 years of experience in a diesel service technician role.Familiarity with New Holland, Case IH, and Kubota equipment is preferred.Previous experience in agricultural machinery service is advantageous.
