Great 1st shift opportunity, M-F 6am-2:30pm
Quality Assurance Inspector with Aerospace experience required
1. Conducts visual and measurement tests in receiving inspection to ensure incoming product meets requirements.
Verify paperwork including material and special process certifications
2. Performs first article inspections according to AS9102 requirements and provides inspection input to engineering as necessary.
3. Develop Inspection Plans.
4. Maintains quality records in accordance with quality system and FAA requirements.
5. Conducts product testing as needed. Identifies correction action to be taken to resolve issues from audits.
Must be able to work from electrical drawings, MIL-STD specifications and engineering drawings. Must be proficient at GD&T (Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerance) Must be capable of utilizing standard inspection instruments, tools and gauges Works closely with the Quality and Process Engineering departments and interfaces with all areas of the organization as required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. Document and process non-conformances, working with engineering and purchasing on dispositions
Assists with final inspection and data review.
Qualifications: Desired Background and Experience
Experience programming and operating Keyence Instant Measurement System, or similar CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
Minimum three to five years of inspection / quality experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment. J-STD certification a plus. Must be willing to get J-Standard certified for inspection of electronic parts/components. Forklift Certified, or willing to learn a plus.
