Full job description Senator John Hickenlooper – a laid off geologist turned brewpub owner turned elected official – seeks a full-time Constituent Advocate - based in Colorado - to provide exceptional constituent services to all Coloradans. This role will interact with the public, receiving requests from constituents for assistance with federal agencies and serving as a liaison between members of the public and government agencies.
The Constituent Advocate position requires creative problem solving skills, the ability to multitask on many projects simultaneously, the ability to learn and navigate agency processes, the willingness to learn and operate the office's Constituent Relationship Management software (Intranet Quorum), and engaging with constituents in an empathetic and caring manner.
This position is open to candidates based in Pueblo County, CO. The work is primarily remote except for regularly holding in person "office hours" at public facilities to provide casework services. In addition, the advocate will need to occasionally represent the office at community events, such as resource fairs and agency meetings. The advocate will also need to travel to Colorado Springs at least once a month for team meetings and will be reimbursed for travel.
Compensation range for this full-time position is $50,000-$55,000 per year and includes healthcare, retirement, federal student loan benefits for those who qualify, paid time off, and other benefits. This position is non-exempt and qualifies for overtime for work over 40 hours.
