JOB SUMMARY: The Advancement Operations Coordinator is primarily responsible for the coordination of donor and alumni events, campaigns, and daily financial gift processing for Southern Seminary and Boyce College.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions:
Assists in the development and execution of marketing and communication plans for all fundraising campaigns.Assists in the development and execution of marketing and communication plans for all donor events, including: Regional donor tours/dinners, Leadership Briefings, Heritage Week, Heritage Classic Golf Tournament, and Louisville Dinner.Assists in the development and execution of marketing and communication plans for all alumni events, including: SBC Alumni & Friends Luncheon, and State Convention Alumni Meetings, Southern Academies, and graduations (SBTS and Boyce).Establishes and maintains key relationships with outside vendors and contractors for the purpose of securing donor and alumni gifts, event services, promotion assets, etc.Schedule and coordinate fall and spring Woman's Auxiliary meetings and luncheonsServes as secondary processor of all financial gifts of all kinds.Contributes as needed to the gift follow-up process for all financial gifts received (including thank-you notes from Directors, the VP of Advancement, the President of Southern Seminary) as well along with general donor correspondence.Maintains donor gift inventory including gift items and packaging resources.Serves as point of contact for donors attending various advancement events.Answers Advancement Office phone calls and greets visitors upon arrival in the office.Performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: The position requires superior interpersonal and communication skills, a proven eye for creativity, attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to keep highly sensitive institutional and donor information in strict confidentiality. Must be able to practice genuine professionalism and hospitality when interacting with and hosting alumni and donors.
