SUMMARY: The Advanced Nurse Practitioner is a licensed professional nurse that works under a Collaborative Agreement with a Physician, to provide direct, comprehensive, preventative and therapeutic healthcare to patients and families including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescription, counseling and instruction in compliance with Nurse Practitioner Protocols and all regulations governing APRN#s.# JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. MSN Required. Experience:# Minimum of five (5) years nursing experience.###Critical Care / ICU experience preferred. Licensure: Current Arkansas APRN license and DEA license in good standing. Certifications: BLS required, ACLS within the first six months of employment and PALS within the first year of employment. Other:# Basic computer skills required with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, EMR, Population Health portals and other database systems. Safety Sensitive Designation: This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.# Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without an accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.# While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions.# Ability to stand and walk, bend, squat and twist up to or exceeding 8 to12 hours during shift(s) using proper body mechanics. Occasionally requires lifting of 50 pounds or more of equipment, able to push in excess of 150 pound wheelchair with patient and equipment, and occasionally lifts patients with assist 125 pounds or more using proper body mechanics. Spends eight hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse. Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations of CPR and obtaining equipment. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.# Acuity to the five senses required to respond to critical changing patient situations from actual observations and/or equipment alarms.
