You will be responsible for defining and managing system requirements that pertain to supplier-designed fluids hardware, starting from initial concept through design, development, and validation and culminating in a product vision. Examples of this hardware include pumps, filters, heat exchangers, hydraulic-actuated air valves, electro-hydraulic servo valves, etc. The position requires you to execute system and component analyses, coordinate within a multi-disciplinary team, integrate the system with the engine and airframe, and validate the design through testing.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesFunctionally manage a multiple-disciplinary team which is both domestic and global, and both GE-badged and non-GE badgedCommunicate and present key trade studies and decisions to technical and program leadershipGuide and mentor less experienced engineering team membersMeet customer deliverables with quality and punctualityManage multiple program deliverables, including creating schedules and managing to those schedulesIntegrate multiple engine systems and technologiesCreate and execute physics-based modelsExecute design trade studies, balancing engine deliverables and scheduleIdentify suppliers and partners required to meet engine deliverablesProvide regular updates to technical leadership including through design reviews, design guidance efforts, and programmatic reviewsApply established program management skills utilizing lean toolsThis role requires applicants to be strong both technically and programmaticallyRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of 3 years of experience in design engineeringDesired CharacteristicsMaster's degree in engineering from an accredited university or collegeStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to document, plan, and execute projectsFlexible, friendly, and collaborative approach to working within hybrid on- and off-site teamsHighly motivated self-starter who is passionate about inventing the next generation of aerospace technologyDemonstrated problem solving skillsAbility to work within cross-functional teams to ensure the task is completed on timeThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
