JOB PURPOSE To assist the Office of Admissions in recruiting students to Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Spurgeon College. Representatives are the front line of interaction with future students in the admissions process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Communicate with prospective students during the recruitment process
Assist with Office of Admissions' administrative tasks including but not limited to answering telephones, printing, and sorting of recruitment materials, preparing and processing mass mailings during the recruitment period
Conduct campus tours for prospective students and their families
Provide communication and customer service to prospective students via phone, text, email, social media, and printed material
Maintain inventory of recruitment materials
Assist with preparation for Admissions' Events
Monitor Admissions' social media presence
Answer basic questions regarding the admissions process, financial aid, and campus life.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS MUST BE CURRENT STUDENT OF MBTS OR SPURGEON COLLEGE, AND MUST QUALIFY FOR THE FEDERAL WORK STUDY PROGRAM VIA FAFSA Including,
Christian with high integrity, currently pursuing a relationship with God
Experience working in higher education, in customer service or in sales, preferred
Able to exhibit a basic understanding of the Midwestern Seminary and Spurgeon College missions, degree programs, and
Experienced with Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word, Outlook, and Excel
Proficient in basic computer skills, navigating the internet and simple software, scanning and printing
Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must exhibit a positive attitude
Desire and willingness to learn
Able to pass background screening, including driving record
Eligible to work in the United States
WORKING CONDITIONS Flexible hours, though typically Monday through Friday
No more than 20 hours per week
Shared office setting
Some outdoor work required during recruiting events and while conducting campus tours
PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS Frequently required to sit or stand for periods of time at desk or computer station
Able to walk for extended periods of time. Campus tours can require up to three (3) hours' time
Able to push, pull, lift and/or move up to forty (40) pounds.
