We are looking for an expert Admissions Associate to join our growing team at High Mountain Institute in Leadville, CO.

Primary Responsibilities Increase visibility of HMI brand and high school programs, focusing on Semester and Summer Term Manage logistics for admissions travel Assist with developing avenues to meet priorities for student-body diversity & belonging Up to eight weeks of HMI promotional travel  Process applications and enrollment information Primary responder to admissions inquiries Read and score applications; assist with admissions decisions Communicate with interested and accepted families Assist with social media for HMI marketing  Serve in a key support role for the admissions team Additional Responsibilities: Option to lead up to two wilderness expeditions per year (10-18 days each)  Option to be directly involved with students in a mentoring capacity 10% of every position is whatever needs to be done to serve the mission of HMI Position Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefits 4-9% retirement benefits match after 1 year Four to six weeks paid holiday/vacation leave annually Annual professional development opportunities Wilderness leadership training opportunities Dependent on experience: $30,000 - $40,000 salary Diversity, equity, and inclusion at HMI The High Mountain Institute is committed to building a more diverse and affirming school and outdoor industry. Minimum Qualifications  Bachelor's degree Proficiency in Google Workspace Current driver's license Ability to pass a criminal background check Legal work authorization for the United States Ability to travel independently around the country (in planes, trains, rental cars, etc.) Preferred Qualifications Experience in admissions and/or marketing fields, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting Strong public speaking skills Demonstrated enthusiasm for working in outdoor programming Current Wilderness First Responder certification or ability to obtain such Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  Wilderness and/or residential leadership experience Teamwork, communication, commitment to feedback About High Mountain Institute
